Can I have my therapy sessions online?

Therapy sessions are provided in person and online.

Do you see clients from other countries?

I provide therapy services for persons in other countries.

How do I make an appointment? 
​Please call the office or email me using the form on the
contact page.  When you call if there is no answer, please leave a message. To protect your privacy, I don't return calls unless you leave a message.

Do you see children for therapy?

At the moment I only see children for educational, developmental and behavioural assessments. 

What happens during therapy?
At your first appointment we begin by discussing the issues that you are seeking help with
. At the end of the session, we discuss the best way forward for treatment and you may even get homework. As therapy progresses, we work together to help you discover thinking patterns and activities that can help you improve what you are seeking help for. And yes, I do have a couch that you are free to lay on.

How often will I need to see you?
Therapy frequency depends on how severely you are being affected and on your financial plans. Many people come to therapy once a week initially and then reduce the frequency as they start to improve. However, for each client we work on a plan that's best for you.

How long will it take before I see changes?
This is different for everyone, some people feel better after their first session, as
 they have finally released what they have been carrying, but still need more sessions. For others, it takes longer. Research suggests that most people can start to see significant changes after 6 to 12 weeks, depending on the state of their mental health.

What if I change my mind?
You are free to stop therapy at any time. You may even decide not to attend your first appointment but please provide 24 hours notice if you do so.

What are my payment options?
Payments can be made via cash, cheques, bank transfer or PayPal.
